MOTOMED

If a child cannot pedal on his own, MOTOmed does it for him.

In this way, it passively increases the range of motion in the ankle, knee and hip joints. As soon as it recognizes that the child can move the pedals independently, MOTOmed registers it and lets the child do the active movements himself. Active strengthening of the leg muscles is thus achieved.

MOTOmed also recognises increased muscle tone if it occurs while pedalling. At that moment, it stops and moves the child’s legs in the opposite direction.

As well as stimulating leg movement, MOTOmed has an arm training device which works in the same way.
